EPA: Toxic Releases Rose 16 Percent In 2010

A rise of 16% of toxic emissions in the air in the past year is a disaster. Air releases of dioxin, which has been linked to neurological and reproductive problems as well as cancer, rose 10 percent from 2009 to 2010, according to the EPA’s report that was released on January 5th.This is a reversal of the downward trend in toxic emissions dating back to 2006.
