Is Your Golf Game A Little Off At Times?

The EPA has stated that 30% of insecticides, 60% of herbicides, and 90% of fungicides can cause cancer. They are well aware of the dangers to the public. Once they know for sure how toxic a chemical is and go forth to protect us, they act upon that information. One chemical they ‘acted’ upon was Dursban®. It was ‘banned’ in the year 2000.

However, because of how the ban was written, it was possible to purchase the chemical for and additional 18 months in stores. It was also not required to tell home users of the chemical that it was a banned substance, which put our friends and families even further at risk. In addition to the chemical being allowed to be sold for an additional 18 months, you were also allowed to stockpile the chemical to be used indefinitely. Again, the ban was written in a way that one was still allowed to use the chemical after the ban.

Dursban® was also still able to be used in the foundations of homes up until 2005. In Phoenix, AZ, it has been noted that home builders routinely used 300-500 gallons in the foundations of new houses (depending on the size). This chemical can gradually seep up the walls and through floor cracks and holes, into the air of the buildings.

And, in spite of its banning, it is still available for use on non-resident golf courses to protect against mosquitoes indefinitely. Do they dislike golfers, or maybe think they are stronger than the rest of us? Golfers beware. Maybe your sporadic bad game or chronic ill health are due to toxic sprays used on the courses that are known to adversely affect the brain, muscles, nervous and reproductive systems of humans, as well as animals. The fairways and greens can look fine by there is a price. If you chose to live within breathing distance from a golf course, you could be inhaling toxic dangerous pesticides on a regular basis.

If you are an avid golfer you might want to think about having your blood and urine checked for chemicals, so you can take proper precautions before you develop any symptoms of some serious illness.
